The Edmond Community Chorale
(1988-2009)
Celebrating over 20 years of "Choral Art for the Community"
The
Edmond Community Chorale is a choral organization formed with the clear
understanding that through music, one can reach the hearts of others.
As the group improves many areas of life through music, it provides an
opportunity for people who wish to be part of a choral group an
opportunity to sing with the best. Under the baton of Dr. Karl Nelson,
the Artistic Director, the ECC has far surpassed many of its original
goals and continues to search for new and creative things to do.
Created to rehearse and perform quality major works well, the ensemble
is dedicated to the vocal health of all its singers, young and old, and
to providing Edmond and the surrounding area with high quality choral
performances.
Rehearsals
At
present, rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 in the
choir room at the University of Central Oklahoma Music Building (Campus Map).
The fall season runs from mid-August until the holiday concert in
December. The spring season is from mid-January until the concert in
late April or early May.
